Judicial decrees, decisions, positions, and orders issued by official Israeli bodies:
§ A report published by the Hebrew newspaper “Ynet” revealed amendments made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the U.S.-backed hostage deal proposal submitted on July 27, 2024. The amended document shows Netanyahu's request for a permanent Israeli military presence along the Philadelphi Corridor and changes to plans regarding the Rafah crossing. It also outlines new conditions, including no-full-withdrawal from the corridor and the inspection of civilians returning to Gaza. (September 3, 2024)
§ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Hamas will pay a very heavy price following the retrieval of six hostages' bodies by the Israeli army. He noted that Israel's goals in this war include eliminating Hamas, returning all of the hostages, and ensuring that Gaza never again constitutes a threat to Israel. He added that “three of these goals pass through one place: The Philadelphi Corridor. This is Hamas's lifeline and armament line”. (September 3, 2024)
§ The Israeli army claimed that during a security operation near the Beita area (southeast ofNablus), the forces fired at a “main instigator” of violent activity who was throwing stones and posing a threat. The army noted that it is investigating reports of the killing of a foreign national as a result of the shooting in the area and is reviewing the details and circumstances surrounding the incident. (September 6, 2024)
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized the resolution adopted by the UNGA to end the occupation of Palestine, viewing it as further evidence of the Palestinian Authority’s hostility toward Israel. He affirmed his commitment to continue the fight against its legitimacy and work to eliminate the idea of a Palestinian state, which he considers an existential threat to Israel. (September 18, 2024)
Media reports indicated that Israel proposed an offer in Washington DC to end the war in Gaza, which included the release of all hostages in exchange for allowing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar safe passage out of the Gaza Strip, demilitarization of Gaza, and establishing an alternative governing power. The proposal also includes the release of several Palestinian prisoners. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office claimed that Benjamin Netanyahu had accepted all U.S. proposals for the release of the captives, including the final mediation proposal, while Hamas rejected all these offers. (September 18/19, 2024)
The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemned the UN resolution calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories within a year. He described the resolution as “one-sided” and “distorted,” noting that it does not take into account Israel’s security needs. He added that the resolution undermines the chances for peace and ignores the basic principle underlying all peace agreements between Israel and its neighbors, which stresses that the resolution of the conflict can only be achieved through direct negotiations between the two parties. The Israeli Foreign Ministry again denounced the resolution, arguing that it encourages “unilateral moves” against Israel, which will not contribute to ending the conflict. (September 18-19, 2024)
Israel submitted an official challenge to the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the court’s jurisdiction, as well as challenging the legality of the prosecutor’s requests for arrest warrants against Israel’s prime minister and defense minister. Israel argued that the prosecutor violated the court’s statute and the principle of complementarity by not giving Israel the opportunity to exercise its right to investigate the claims raised by the Prosecutor, before proceeding. (September 20, 2024)
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, criticized a draft resolution submitted by the Palestinian Mission for a vote in the General Assembly next week. The resolution demands the implementation of recent ICJ rulings under specific timelines and with the oversight of special monitoring mechanisms. Danon warned that passing this resolution, especially on the first anniversary of the October 7 events, would be a “reward for terrorism.” He called on the General Assembly to reject this resolution outright. (September 8, 2024)
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there will be no changes to the current status quo regarding the Temple Mount [Al-Aqsa Mosque]. He added that any visits by his government ministers to the area will require his prior approval through his military secretary. (September 8, 2024)
Media reports suggest that, according to a classified Israeli Foreign Ministry memo, Israel plans to use the US Congress to pressure South Africa into halting legal proceedings against it at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning the war in Gaza. Israeli officials are reportedly seeking to have members of Congress convey to South Africa that there will be serious consequences for continuing the legal process against Israel. (September 9, 2024)
The IDF issued new orders for the residents of the Atatra neighborhood in northern Gaza to evacuate. The IDF spokesperson said that the area had previously received multiple warnings and is considered a dangerous combat zone. (September 9, 2024)
The IDF released preliminary findings of its investigation, noting that foreign national Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi was highly likely to have been indirectly and unintentionally hit by IDF fire that was not aimed at her but at “the key instigator of the riot” at the site. The IDF launched an investigation by the Military Police Criminal Investigations Division (MPCID), and its results will be submitted to the Military Advocate General’s Corps for review upon its conclusion. (September 10, 2024)
Israeli Knesset member and leader of Yisrael Beiteinu party, Avigdor Lieberman, called for a halt to all humanitarian aid to Gaza, stating that there must be no food, water, cigarettes, fuel, and goods, to Gaza. (September 10, 2024)
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked Justice Minister Yariv Levin to urge Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to open a criminal investigation against him, as Prime Minister, and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant regarding the Gaza War, in an attempt to avoid arrest warrants requested by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Baharav-Miara rejected the request, considering it a ploy that could harm Israel’s image in court. (September 12, 2024)

Israel argued that the prosecutor violated the court’s statute and the principle of complementarity by not giving Israel the opportunity to exercise its right to investigate the claims raised by the Prosecutor, before proceeding. (September 20, 2024)
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied reports about a ceasefire or a de-escalation of fighting in the north. It clarified that the news about a ceasefire was merely a U.S.-French proposal, and the Prime Minister has not made any decisions yet. The statement also added that military operations in Gaza will continue until all war goals are achieved, directing the Israeli army to continue fighting with full force according to the plans presented to them. (September 26, 2024)
In his speech before the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the UN had become a “contemptuous farce.” He argued that decisions made by international institutions against Israel, as well as the swift action by the International Criminal Court’s prosecutor in issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, is “pure anti-Semitism.” Netanyahu asserted that the war in Gaza could end immediately if Hamas surrendered, laid down its arms, and released all hostages. He stated, “But if they don’t, we will fight until we achieve victory. Total victory. There is no substitute for it.” (September 27, 2024)

The Israeli attack has killed at least 33 Palestinians, including seven children, and injured nearly 130 since 28 August, the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry reported, when Israeli troops launched a deadly wide-scale assault on the Jenin refugee camp, Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem and the al-Faraa refugee camp in the foothills of the Jordan Valley, south of Tubas. Testing the boundaries for ethnic cleansing in the West Bank Abdaljawad Omar Mweiss 04/09/2024 There is a pretense of novelty in Israel’s most recent offensive in the West Bank, which it has glibly called “Operation Summer Camps.” Even before it began, Israel announced that the operation was the most wide-ranging invasion of the West Bank since 2002. What is most striking about this framing is the charade that each new operation represents a fresh response to an emerging threat. Israeli troops in West Bank intentionally killed US activist MC Murphy EI 07/09/24 Demonstrators were congregated on the outskirts of the village some 150-200 meters away from Israeli troops, according to Pollak. The situation was quiet when a sniper positioned on a rooftop fired two live bullets, he said. The first bullet hit a metal object and shrapnel hit a village resident in his thigh. The second one was the bullet that hit Eygi.
“I found her lying on the ground … bleeding from her head,” Pollak said, adding that she “had a very weak pulse.” Eygi was evacuated to a hospital but efforts to save her life failed.
Saad Dhiab, a resident of Beita, told WAFA that after the shots rang out, “I saw the soldiers dancing happily at what they had done.” Read more: https://electronicintifada.net/blogs/maureen-clare-murphy/witness-israeli-troops-west-bank-intentionally-killed-us-activist
Israel – no right of self-defence in Gaza Craig Mokhiber Mweiss 10/09/2024
The UN Charter, a treaty binding on all member states, codifies key rights and responsibilities of states. Among these are the duty to respect the self-determination of peoples (including the Palestinians), the duty to respect human rights, and the duty to refrain from the use of force against other states (where not authorized by the Security Council). Israel, for the 76 years of its existence, has been repeatedly in breach of these principles. . . .
In fact, its principal obligation is to protect the occupied population. Read more: https://mondoweiss.net/2024/09/no-israel-does-not-have-a-right-to-defend-itself-in-gaza-but-the-palestinians-do/?ml_recipient=132179379237160926&ml_link=132179373781419797
Bullets rained down from drones and helicopters Khaled El-Hissy EI 10/09/24
Nearly a month later, on 21 August, the Abu al-Fahm family would experience another raid by Israeli troops. This time, the Israelis raided Mawasi al-Qarara with tanks as well as quadcopters and helicopters. The Abu al-Fahm family tent was in the Lisan al-Mina area, on al-Tina Street, and this seemed to them to be at the center of the raid.Quadcopter drones spread out and started shooting at the tents around 6 pm. Apache helicopters also fired bullets at the displaced people in their tents.

F or Anas Daher, 24, the situation in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah over the past month has been “terrifying.” Daher is a nurse at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and Israel bombed both the gate of the hospital and the camp on its grounds at the beginning of September. “Quadcopters hovered closely over the hospital for many days before the incursion, playing bizarre sounds,” he said, like dogs barking. “On the day we were forced to flee [on 25 August], there was a sniper nearby opening fire at people running away.” Daher has since returned to his work at the hospital, but he said the quadcopters and Apache helicopters continue to hover above. Inside Israel’s concentration camps Tamara Nassar EI 13/09/2024
While Israel has perpetrated these kinds of attacks on Palestinians in its prisons for decades, they have increased dramatically in quantity and intensity since 7 October, amid an atmosphere of state-sanctioned and directed revenge. The Israeli human rights group B’Tselem is aware of at least 60 Palestinians deaths in Israeli detention since 7 October, though the figure could be higher. And while Israel’s claims of rapes and sexual assaults by Palestinians on 7 October lack even a single identified victim or firsthand testimony, any forensic evidence or credible eyewitnesses, the rapes and other sexual attacks on Palestinians are documented with a large and growing body of horrifying and consistent victim accounts and witness statements. How did the international community’s inaction contribute to Israel’s atrocities? In an interview with Anadolu, Ihsan Adel, Chair of Law for Palestine, emphasised that Israel’s actions stem not only from its internal policies but also from the passive complicity of the international community. "It’s not just about the states directly involved in the persecution of the Palestinian people or those supporting Israel, but also those with trembling hands, who allowed this situation to unfold," Adel said, highlighting the lack of meaningful efforts to hold Israel accountable. It is deeply troubling that Israel has been allowed to join the first global treaty on artificial intelligence (AI)—an agreement meant to regulate AI’s responsible use while upholding human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. Twins only had 48 hours Fedaa al-Qedra EI 20/09/2024
It is one of the quirks of genocide that a certain amount of bureaucracy carries on as before.
Births, for instance, still have to be registered. Deaths too. Increasingly, however – tragically, appallingly – the time between a birth and death in Gaza is growing narrower. Indeed, Gaza’s health ministry in August announced that according to its records, 115 babies had been born and died during Israel’s now 11 month-long genocide. But Israel, in its automatic claim of “human shields” each time it kills large numbers of civilians and destroys protected civilian infrastructure, pays no mind to this definition. Waste is piling up in Gaza. The public health implications are disastrous
Ahmed Abu Abdu Mweiss 25/09/2024 With a population exceeding 800,000 people, our city generates over 700 tons of waste daily. Before the Israeli genocide began on October 7 almost a year ago, managing this volume of waste in a city under siege was already challenging. The Israeli occupation systematically prevented us from importing or building the necessary equipment to carry out our work, including garbage trucks or waste treatment facilities, over nearly two decades. After the genocide began, the Israeli occupation launched a war on all our sanitation facilities and waste management systems, with the objective of creating an environmental and health crisis in Gaza.
